This year’s Ghana meets Naija concert which happened on May 24th at the Accra International Conference Center has come and gone but unlike the previews concerts, the fourth edition came with lots of issues. Before the main event, Shatta Wale was reported to have been paid Gh60,000 – a story Empire Entertainment and Shatta Wale himself confirmed.
Ghana meets Naija 2014 cannot be mentioned without Liwin’s weed saga, Shatta Wale bringing Bull Dogs on stage, Kcee giving out $200 to a ‘pantless’ lady and Benedicta Ofosu, the girl who ‘worshipped’ Sarkodie on stage during his performance at the event. The latest to add up to all these is the amount of money Empire Entertainment, organisers of the annual event paid to Nigerian American recording artist, performer, and record producer, Davido.
Why are we at Zionfelix.com asking this? Davido’s older brother and manager Adewale Adeleke wrote on twitter: “Put my First 50k dolls into my business now my artist makes 50k a show! God is good!!!!!” And for those who are not aware, Adewale’s main artiste is the self professed Omo Baba Olowo, Davido who also retweeted. So if Adewale Adeleke’s tweet is anything to go by then Davido charges $50,000 per show.

As it stands now with $1 equal Gh3, $50K is equivalent to Gh150,000. One will say a dollar was not Gh3 as at May 24th when the show happened but $50,000 would be around Gh150,000 by then.
Since we were made aware that Shatta Wale pocketed Gh60,000 ($20,000), then we ask, did Empire also pay the $50,000 Davido’s manager is stating for him to perform at Ghana meets Naija 2014 or it was around that amount?
