Joey B has finally received his car for winning artiste of the year the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. The brand new saloon car was given to the ‘Tonga’ hitmaker at a short ceremony held at Midland Head Office , Shiashi, East Legon on Friday, July 11.
This is the second time that MUSIGA is partnering with the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards to present a car to award winners. Last year, the car was given to the Artist of the Year winner, R2bees.
Osei Bice Kuffuor alias Obuor, president of MUSIGA announced during the unveiling of the 2014 VGMA nominations that the decision to give the car to the new artist of the year was to encourage new talents.
Joey B beat Akwaboah and Kumi Guitar to win the ‘Discovery of the year’ award.
