It is obvious the media landscape of our country has been turned into a jungle where the weak are eaten by the mighty. The film
business is slowly petering out. People are losing their investments, due to piracy, poor economic conditions, high interest rates and high
cost of living and the most of it all, TV stations.
Millions of telenovelas are imported into the country alongside porn movies and they are openly displayed on the market as the telenovelas are proudly shown at family belt hours on our televisions and even repeats during the day when kids are watching.
One could see actors in extreme close tonguing and fondling on TV and nobody is talking about it. Nobody is worried there seem to be no broadcasting law?
But when movie producers are to release their movies it goes through a preview board, where they pay 150gh cedis per feature length! At
the preview board, they make it appear all movies are all supposed to be made for kids.
They complain about the least of romance they find on the
films, produced in Ghana but find nothing wrong with what the TV stations show all the time? Subtly they force producers to censor the movies, even though there are millions of imported movies on the market that have to come through them. Porn movies are so abundant today on the streets of Accra and Kumasi.
Foreign Telenovelas are being shown on all television networks, with some exotic scenes and nobody is calling the stations to order. If you don’t know these soaps are bought in dollars. Yet if a local producer should produce anything similar in terms of exotic scene, the hypocritical board for preview, coupled with hypocritical audience will scream red alerts.
Has anybody ever wondered if all the so called soft porn shot in Ghana ever did well on the market? Yes they were oversubscribed. That is the extent of our hypocrisy.
If you love it, why should I not produce it!? Why should foreign ones make more money in our country while we handcuff our own people from tapping I into the flourishing porn business?
This is so hypocritical and if we are living in the jungle of lawlessness, let all enjoy the environment. I recommend that film producers now
invest into pornography productions since it is low in capital investment but high in revenue / returns.
I applaud Kobby Rana for his movie #THE SEXTAPE. it should mark the beginning of the porn industry in Ghana. Let’s be bold and do what is right as entertainers.
On top of all this, people are being charged to pay TV license and the chunk of the money goes to the same TV stations to invest in foreign soaps like:LA GATA, ROSA DIAMONTIA (or whatever) being shown by TV and Metro TV, TRIUMPH OF LOVE, and the list is endless, which has NOTHING Ghanaian about them, but trash.
Yet we will tell Shirley Frimpong that her movies, which she produced with local content and offering job to Ghanaians, are NOT GHANAIAN!? Such hypocrisy!
Ghanaians are so hypocritical and will surely condemn what I’m saying but which of us do not run after leaked sex videos or watch porn?
Kids are watching them on their phones. Who didn’t watch wakiki jay porn video? Yet these same people will come out condemning the act
after enjoying it!
We will make sure the actors go for HIV/AIDs test. Make sure they are screened and immune from other communicable diseases and let’s start
shooting porn movies in Ghana. It’s a big business and the only hope of reviving and recuperating our lost investment.
The only aside is it shall not be screened in theatres or in public place but used as home videos. Let it be rated not suitable for TV. And trust me, we can’t meet demands after production.
Porn business is already booming in Ghana and has already provided a ready market.
Let’s start building our pornography film industry in GHANA. Let’s start killing the hypocrisy and create more jobs for our people.
My name is Michael Kwaku Ola and I’m beginning an audition for porn actors.
