The gospel music industry is not vibrant as it used to be many years ago due to the type of songs artistes release. Most of the old gospel musicians are not heard anymore releasing songs due to certain reasons known to only them. Gospel musician, Ekow Dougan releases this song “Awurade Ye” off his “Bisa Nyame” album.
“Awurade Ye” is a hit song on Stephen Ekow Dougan’s 3rd gospel choral album titled “Bisa Nyame” which was released on the 5th of September, 2015 at the British Council. The album features the Christline Choir and was recorded and engineered by Samuel Kofi Attah of Royal Sound Studios, Winneba.
Stephen Ekow Dougan is a talented keyboardist, classy composer and all round outstanding musician and has two successful choral albums namely “Fa Yesu” and “Yesu Do” to his credit.
Ekow Dougan has directed a number of choirs both in Ghana and Abroad. In his university, days he was a member of the University Choir (Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology), where he served as an Organist and a Choir Master. He also doubled as a Music Director in the Adventist Student Fellowship (ASF) within the same period.
Due to his experience in Music, Ekow Dougan also does Music consultancy for a number of great choirs and musicians across the globe.
Although Ekow Dougan works in an Oil Company, his love for music never fades and he always has the passion to release songs to bless souls.
“Bisa Nyame” his newest album features the voice talents of Christline choir, a talented youth choir with an established reputation in Ghanaian Choral Music. On this new album one can find songs like Awurade Ye, Onyame Ye Odo, I will Praise My God, among other songs that he composed. Ekow Dougan’s songs are exceptional because they are of divine lyrical contents which draws you closer to God.
This album seeks to communicate the clear gospel of grace, hope, love, and the saving grace of Jesus through soothing soul inspiring music.
