Whilst some people use their hard-earned money to buy tickets to attend events, some event organisers have been exposed by Legon ladies of giving them free tickets. These ladies are complaining that after the organisers have given them the tickets for their shows, they don’t secure transport for them to the event. A group of ladies at the University of Ghana aka Legon have told your most authoritative Flex newspaper that one of their resolutions this year is not to accept free tickets to events as they use to do last year.
According to them, they are taking this decision because many of the event organizers who deal with them on such grounds always fail in securing transport for them after the event which makes some of them stranded. Whist begging to keep their real identities out of the story obviously because of their guardians reactions upon seeing them in the newspaper, they confirmed that some event organizers through the help of some campus friends always make tickets available free for them to attend their events.
“There are some occasions we don’t even hear of some of the publicized events because of academic issues yet when it is time for these events, tickets will be available for some girls on campus who will be looking for other ladies who have interest in attending such events. What happens is that, some even assure us of return transport to campus but after the event, they will be too busy to even listen to your problem. Catching taxis back to campus after the night events put a heavy strain on our pockets so we have decided to advise ourselves this time around”.
“We are now in our final year and we feel that we need to take our course serious else, we will come back to face the world in hardship. We are tired of their free tickets” some final year students at the University of Ghana told your most authoritative Flex newspaper.
Names of some popular event houses came out in the conversation but to save their brands, we have decided to keep the names out for the sake of business. Meanwhile, it is our hope as media people that our event halls will be filled with people who bought tickets so the organizers can maximize profits to keep the event industry going.
