Tales of actors and actresses receiving meager sums of money as payment for the roles they play in various movies have been heard a lot of times in the media space but it has suffered to receive any concrete backing all these while until actress Christiana Awuni made an appearance on the ‘Uncut’ show.

Speaking with Zionfelix after the founder of Anointed Palace Chapel, Rev. Obofuor gifted her a brand new 4 wheel drive Mazda car and the Gh5,000, she revealed that it is very sad but there have been many occasions she was given as low as GH 500 cedis as payment for a role she played in a movie.

She stressed that it was therefore very painful when after she was given the car people passed the comments that the man of God was not supposed to give it to her because she was an actress who is well to do, which in reality is very false.

Madam Christiana Awuni questioned how these people who have the perception that she is rich came to that very untrue conclusion. She stressed that whereas some of the colleagues may receive all the big monies in the industry because producers see them as great stars, they, on the other hand, receive very small amounts.

Actress AJ Poundz has revealed in a recent chat she had on the ‘Uncut’ show with Zionfelix that she had to bug her colleague actress, Gloria Sarfo for five continuous years before she finally landed a role on Ghana’s longest-running TV show “Efiewura”.

The TV Africa “Pae Mu Ka” show host revealed that Gloria Sarfo is one the most beautiful souls she has come across ever since made an appearance on the screens. She stressed that even though she was consistently on the neck Gloria Sarfo to get her the role in the award-winning TV series, she never got angry at her, not even once.

AJ revealed that even though Gloria was also transferring the pressure she mounted on her to the producer and director of the show, Mr. Kofi Andoh, he never seemed to care until the destiny changing day finally came.

The mother of one revealed that she finally had her chance to be a cast of “Efiewura” when she accompanied Gloria to shot a commercial with the same producer. Two young media professionals from PHD Ghana will represent West and Central Africa (WECA) at the 2019 Cannes Young Lions Media competition during the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity in France.

Ebenezer Arthur and Magdaline Afutu won Gold in the Young Lions Media WECA competition at the  Creativity Week and Awards event held recently in Lagos, Nigeria and will go on to compete with other young brilliant minds from other media and communications agencies from all over the globe during the 2019 Cannes Lions.

Commenting on this accomplishment after the team arrived back in Accra, Bright Ladzekpo, CEO of PHD Ghana, said “the output by our team is a testament to our focus on professional skill development with continuous investment in training programmes that prepare our young local staff to ensure are able to compete favourably with their peers globally”.

“As a global communications planning and media buying network, built on a culture of smart strategic thinking and creative innovation, our young people are well exposed to the fundamental marketing principles and proprietary tools for delivering world class work”, he affirmed.

The most talented and creative professionals go head-to-head and compete to be crowned the global Young Lions champions. As each team has won a national or regional competition and their ticket to Cannes, it’s the best of the best competing against the clock.

The PHD Ghana team also took home silver medals from the Young Pitcher Integrated Competition category of the Pitcher Awards which also takes place as part of Creativity Week. Other members of the team of four who represented the media agency were Emmanuel Addo and Boma Eli.

Award-winning gospel musician, Gifty Adorye has expressed her total disagreement with the suggestion of former highlife musician turned Evangelist, Papa Shee that the decision to apply makeup by women is a sin.

Speaking in an interview on Neat FM sighted by zionfelix.net, Empress Gifty makes the argument that the application of makeups by women did not even start today.

According to her, ladies like Esther and others in the Bible applied makeups at their time and as such, she cannot fathom why the Evangelist will make such a suggestion.

When the host of the show told the recently wedded musician that Papa Shee in his argument also advanced the point that when ladies apply makeup and other artificial nails to their bodies, they tend to seductively lure the men who come their way, she stated that it was an unfounded claim.

One of Ghana’s most popular hiplife musician back in the days, Richmond Opoku Ampratwum, known in showbiz circles as T- Blaze has recounted in an interview how he decided to be a security man when he was in London as a student because it was not optional.

T-Blaze revealed in the interview monitored by zionfelix.net on Accra FM’s ‘Entertainment Capital’ show with Bismarck Boachie (Dj Premier) that because the times were quite difficult for him as a student, he had to find something to do in terms of work to survive and as such, he decided to be a security man to make a little change for ends meat.

He stressed that even though he was known as a security man, the work he did was not too herculean like a typical Ghanaian security man will do. The  ‘Wosisi Ye Wo Ya’ hitmaker also stated that all he had to do was to monitor a CCTV and click on it when the need arose.

“…In London, nobody will have to tell you to work, you will do so yourself. As such, after school each day, I also worked as a security man…” T-Blaze told DJ Premier.

T-Blaze further mentioned that at the time he realized that the money he was getting from the work as a security man was not enough, he decided to divert to become a post person. He also revealed that as a team they had very high hopes that after the video of Kwadwo’s great rap lines went viral, people would have come in to either manage him or help them financially to blow a little more.

He stressed that currently the greatest help they need from people who want to help them are financial and collaboration from music stars who already enjoying the buzz in the industry.

The decision of Pastor Kingsley Baah aka One Blow to be part of the many celebrities who took cars from Rev. Obofuor certainly didn’t go well with his spiritual ‘papa’ and godfather, Bishop  ‘Angel’ Daniel Obinim.

Reacting to the viral news at one of his services in a video sighted by zionfelix.net, Bishop Obinim stated that, he’s no longer working with him because he took gifts which included a range rover, plot of land and cash from his ‘rival’, Rev. Obofour Antwi.

The founder and leader of International Godsway Church also stated in the video that even though he is disappointed in Pastor One Blow, he cannot hate his former pastor for accepting the gifts and that for now he’s handed him over to Rev. Obofour as he’s no longer interested in working with him.

Talented rapper, Bismark Baah, popularly known in showbiz circles as Kwame Baah has detailed in a chat with Zionfelix on the much talked about ‘Uncut’ show how the perceived beef with Flowking Stone, a rapper he considers a brother and a godfather, started some years ago.

He revealed that some fans of rap music started the whole beef thing between them when he performed one of his songs with bars which sought to suggest that there were no ‘kings’ in the rap industry of Ghana at his “Everything Is Possible” album signing after Flowking failed to show up, even though he had invited him. 

Kwame Baah stressed that it was not true that those bars were in any way about Flowing but he enjoyed the sort of attention it gave his music career at the time.

He further disclosed in the interview that the issue which almost died off after this first episode was lighted when he decided to share a rap tune of one up and coming rap musician he manages, Kwaku Darlington.

The “Ene Wo Nne” hitmaker stressed that people were all in arms for him and claiming that he was beefing Flowking because the particular song was tagged a diss track to the “Blow My Mind” hitmaker.
